THE MISS DANCE OF THE UNITED STATES TITLE
The United States Tournament of Dance has been licensed to award the Title of Miss Dance of the United States to talented young women for the past 30 years. Many of these titleholders have gone on to achieve great success not only in the field of dance, but in many other aspects of life as well.
Through the years we have discovered that all of the Miss Dance Title winners shared some common attributes including but not limited to; talent, drive, determination, focus, and a positive outlook on life. The Title of Miss Dance of the United States provides recipients the opportunity to serve as a role model and advocate of good will for other young people. Recently the United States Tournament of Dance instituted a program that would help facilitate this role. The program requires that each newly crowned Miss Dance of the United States choose a charity to be recognized as the official charity of Miss Dance of the United States. As such, the USTD will work relentlessly to support this charity during her reign through performance venues, lectures, and public appearances. The Title of Miss Dance of the United States offers an unparalleled opportunity for young women to make a difference in relation to some of the most significant concerns facing society today. In addition, it provides these young women a forum to express their talent and opinions while helping them to achieve their personal and professional goals.
As Miss Dance of the United States, the Titleholder will be publicized in a number of ways. It is the goal of the USTD to help get Miss Dance recognized through high-profile events. As Miss Dance of the United States, the titleholder will be publicized in a number of ways, included but not limited to; performance venues, public speeches, charity benefits, photo shoots, editorials and press releases submitted to; trade magazines, TV talk shows, newspapers, and radio.
The Title of Miss Dance of the United States and all that it stands for has been gaining recognition across the US as a giant leap towards the re-creation of morality in this country. The USTD will continue to provide young women the same opportunities it has provided over the past 32 years while forging the path for all future candidates in years to come.
