Why I chose DRA: After performing for the organization and gaining an understanding of the wide range of services DRA provides for people with HIV and Aids, I realized that by joining DRA I could give back to the community through my dance and my close involvement with the organization. Through my dance career, a man who has judged and watched me dance at several competitions since I was 8 died of this disease. This made it real for me and made me want to help others suffering from the same illness he did. I think it is perfect for me to work with this organization by tying in dance with supporting this charity.
